Brazzell, Davis use bag of tricks to win FoM event at Kissimmee

May 17, 2015

Written by Jim Trenary, FoM Central Florida Tournament Director

This weekend proved to be another successful time out on the water. As with every tournament we started on Friday night with an awesome time of fellowship and giving away merchandise from our sponsors. We watched a DVD by Dr James Merritt who spoke on how to use your time wisely and of course if we take time to read and study the word of God life is much better.

Saturday morning was absolutely beautiful and all boats were launched without a hitch, and this being our last tournament for 2015 our competitors were fishing for our Championship title and a chance to move on to Districts where they compete for a slot in Nationals.

Coming in 1st for today’s tournament is John Brazzell and Josh Davis who brought an impressive weight of 26.92 lbs to the scales. They used a trick worm in Lake Kissimmee to find their fish. What a catch.

Not far behind and coming in 2nd is the Father and son team of Dan and Jeremy Smith who had 21.91 lbs. They too fished Lake Kissimmee.

3rd place was earned by the team of John Myers Jr. And John Myers III with an impressive weight of 18.60 lbs.

Big Fish for the day was caught by Robbie and Bob Austin using a spinner bait and it tipped the scales at an impressive weight of 8.27 lbs.

As mentioned above we awarded our 2015 Points Champion’s, as well as Male and Female Champions, and Adult Junior Champions. So a big congratulations go out to Billy Taylor and Keith Carson who earn the Point Championship Title. Steve and Anna Rust finished first in the Male and Female class and David and Conner DiMauro took first for our Adult Junior class.

Thanks to all our local sponsors Deka Batteries, Duckett Fishing Rod, Bass Pro, Gatorland, Bitters Bait & Tackle, Producto Lures, and Wincore Window & Doors.
