FTReport.com to Host Florida State Team Championship

Land O’ Lakes, FL (December 30, 2014)-The Fishing Tournament Report, the leader in providing coverage of grass roots tournament anglers, has announced that they will be hosting the Florida State Team Championship, an event that is set-up to be unlike any other event the state has seen.

The Florida State Team Championship will host the Top 4 teams in points from participating clubs and tournament trails, as well as the Top 4 finishing teams from qualified open/charity events throughout the state, to battle it out for the state title.

Blazer Boats has partnered with the Florida State Team Championship, and will present the winning team with a brand new Blazer 595 Pro Elite package, powered by a 200 hp outboard, valued at $45,000.00.

“We’re very excited to be the presenting sponsor for the Florida State Team Championship,” stated Keith Craft, President of Blazer Boats. “It allows us to increase our exposure in the state of Florida, and promote our new redesigned line of bass boats. This includes our new 595 Pro Elite, scheduled to hit the market in February 2015.”

The Pensacola, FL based company has become a strong factor in the high performance Bass and Bay Boat market, and is committed to building quality boats at reasonable prices.

“We’re truly excited about our newly formed partnership with Blazer Boats as the presenting sponsor of the Florida State Team Championship,” expressed Mike Blocher, President of the Fishing Tournament Report. “Blazer’s commitment to the anglers of the state of Florida in making this a first class event is unprecedented. We are looking forward to working with Blazer Boats to help grow this event.”

Anglers can qualify for the Florida State Team Championship by competing with participating clubs, tournament trails, and open/charity events that have registered with the Florida State Team Championship. Organizations do not need to be affiliated with a major trail such as B.A.S.S. Nation or The Bass Federation.

“This allows for those grass roots anglers who would not normally have the opportunity to compete for a first place prize of this caliber, have that opportunity of more than bragging rights,” stated Brian Stahl, Vice-President of the Fishing Tournament Report. “We know what it means to finish as one of the top anglers at the end of the season, and this gives those anglers something more to compete for throughout the year.”

Not only will the anglers benefit, but the organizations as well.

“Organizations participating in this event have everything to gain,” exclaimed Blocher. “ The organization the winning team represents will be awarded a $1,000.00 Champions Club Cash Award to be used however the organization sees fit to benefit the anglers. This will also help increase participation throughout the year as anglers attempt to qualify in the top of the standings.”

Cost to register an organization is $100.00 per organization. Details of the location of the event have not yet been released, but is slated to be held in March or April of 2016.

“With over 250 clubs, trails, and different style events throughout the State of Florida, the Florida State Team Championship could become one of the largest grass roots tournaments ever held,” added Stahl.

Organizations interested in registering for the Florida State Team Championship are urged to contact the Fishing Tournament Report to get your full information packet.
