Jewitt & Jacobson Win IFA Jacksonville

The IFA Redfish Tour, Florida East division held their 2nd and final event of the 2014 season Saturday June 21st, in Jacksonville, FL. 77 teams gathered at Morningstar Marinas-Mayport on the morning of the event, with hopes of winning the fully rigged Ranger Boat and Yamaha motor 1st place prize package valued at $25,995.00.

Rusty Jewitt teamed up with Timothy Jacobson to catch a 12.83-pound, 2 redfish limit to win the event. Their 6.78-pound and 6.05-pound fish, respectively, were just enough to edge out the rest of the competition and claim the prize. The team revealed they caught all their fish on Berkley Gulp! baits. Jewitt and Jacobson also won an additional $2,415.00 thanks to being participants in the Angler’s Advantage program.

Jesse Rain and Luis Jaramillo weighed a 12.46-pound limit to claim 2nd place, and a $3,170.00 check.

Tom Riley and Chris Kellum weighed a 12.32-pound limit to round out the top 3. They took home a $1,930.00 check for 3rd, and an additional $1,207.00 thanks to the Angler’s Advantage program, giving them a $3,137.00 payday.

Even though this was the final event for the Florida East division before the championship in Houma, LA Ocotber 24th and 25th, anglers will have the opportunity to participate in one more event in the Florida West division September 27th in Sarasota. For more information on the event, click here.
