McDonald Wins Kayak Tour Event

The IFA Kayak Fishing Tour presented by Hobie held its first event of the season March 9^th out of Punta Gorda. Mike McDonald topped 55 other competitors for the win. With the help of a 31-inch redfish and a 25-inch trout, for a 56-inch total, McDonald won $1,500.00. He also received $450.00 for fishing out of a Hobie Kayak as well as having the events Big Redfish, along with $450.00 dollars for being a participant in the Anglers Advantage program. In total, McDonald took home $2,375.00.

Rusty Driver finished 2^nd with a 29.25-inch redfish and a 23.25-inch trout, for a 52.50 inch total. Driver received $1,000.00 for his efforts.

Ty Nelson rounded out the top 3 with a 30.75-inch redfish and a 19.75-inch trout, for a 50.50-inch total. Nelson received $500.00 plus $250.00 from the Anglers Advantage program.

Bryan Hunt received $100 for catching the events Big Trout, measuring 25.13-inches.
