McKamey, Oliver Win 2nd UCF Qualifier

The UCF Reel Knights season continued on October 11th with their 2nd qualifying event of the season, on Lake Kissimmee.

Veteran college teammates Hunter McKamey and Kyle Oliver ran away with the win, catching a 19.65-lb., 5 bass limit.

“We caught the majority of our fish early in the morning in scattered hydrilla. We fished a Gambler Burner Worm and EZ Swimmer, both in Junebug,” stated McKamey. “Our Kicker fish came later in the day, pitching isolated Kissimmee grass with lilly pads.” Their bait of choice for catching that kicker was a Gambler Fat Ace, in Watermelon Red.

2nd place finishers Kevin Lucas and Kyle Stafford tossed an assortment of baits to catch their 15.76-lb., 5 bass limit. The majority of their fish fell victim to Gambler’s Burner Worm, EZ Swimmer, and Cane Toad.
