Taylor, Carson string up win at Harris FoM

Written by Jim Trenary, FoM Central Florida Tournament Director

Thanks once again to Adventure Christian Church for opening their doors and serving us the awesome dinner. The food was great as always, and of course a special thanks to Dr. James Merritt for helping us understand what we must do to know Gods will for our lives.

Thanks to all our local sponsors who provided some real nice door prizes that were given away at the meeting; such as, Deka Batteries, 7’ Duckett Fishing Rod, various items from Bass Pro, Gatorland tickets, and some Soft Baits from Bitters Bait & Tackle as well as a $25.00 gift card, and some awesome baits from Producto Lures. After the weigh in we also gave away another $25.00 Gift Card from Bass Pro. A special thanks to Wincore Window & Doors for their financial support.

We changed ramp locations to Buzzard Beach, but I do believe it all worked out for the better. A good number of boats ran to Lake Griffin and several stayed in Lake Eustis, but I don’t believe the winning weight of Billy Taylor and Keith Carson came from Griffin or Eustis. They managed to find 22.14 lbs. to rock the scales and earn them $1,337.50 in winnings for the day. Nice job Billy and Keith.

2nd Place taking home $747.50 dollars went to Dan and Jeremy Smith who weighed a total of 19.19 lbs. they also had the Big Bass of the day that weighed in at 6.59 lbs.

3rd Place was the team of Mike Robinson and Bryan Heaberlin who ran to Griffin to find a total weight of 15.85 lbs. They too had one over 5 lbs. They earned over $400.00 for their hard work on the water.

4th Place was the team of Dusty McDevitt and Wayne Lindsay who tipped the scales with 15.27 lbs. of Bass taking home $165.00 for the day.

5th Place with a total weight of 15.20 lbs. is the father and son team of Michael and Dalton Skat.

Our next and final tournament for 2015 will be on the Kissimmee chain down in Camp Mac on May 16, so come and fish with the Best of The Best. For any questions call Fishers of Men Director Jim Trenary 386-956-7989 or email at bassin1@att.net
