Team DiMauro take FoM Legacy Series win at Harris Chain

The Florida Central division of the Fishers of Men Legacy Series took to the Harris Chain of Lakes, launching from Venetian Gardens on Saturday. The Legacy Series creates exciting opportunities for both adult and junior fisherman, allowing them to team up to compete for cash, prizes, and to create memories that will last a lifetime.

David DiMauro and Connor DiMauro caught only four keepers during the tournament, but it would be all they would need to secure a narrow win. Connor filled in for his brother Bryce for this event, as the father-son team weighed in an 8.17-pound bag.

Ben Franklin and his two sons Jackson and Hardy Franklin weighed two fish for 8.12 pounds to finish in second place. One of those fish made up the bulk of their weight, weighing in at 7.50 pounds. That fish earned the duo Big Bass honors for the day.

Dan Post and Tyler Post finished in third place with a 6.21-pound, five-bass limit.

With one event to go in the season, David and Bryce DiMauro lead the Team of the Year standings with 799 points. Dan and Tyler Post trail close behind in second place with 597 points, followed by Bob Austin and Jonathan Connor in third place with 592 points.

The Fishers of Men Florida Central division’s next and final event for the season will take place on May 14th at Lake Kissimmee, launching from Camp Mack’s River Resort. For more information, visit their web page, or follow them on Facebook.
