Team Fish Whistle Takes Sarasota

The Tampa Bay Redfish Tour Winter Series went south to Sarasota for the 3rd stop of the tour on January 10th. 15 teams launched from the 10th street boat ramp to seek out two fat, slot redfish.

Matt Tramontana and Kyle Raison of Team Fish Whistle walked away with the win by mere ounces. Their two reds weighed in at 15.96 pounds.

Team Size Matters, captained by Armando Acosta, took home second place honors. Anglers Vinnie Decarlo and Matt Selgado brought two redfish to the scales weighing 15.88 pounds. Their 8.76 pound red was also the largest weighed of the event.

Team Young Boats, captained by Frank Leto, nabbed a 3rd place finish. Anglers Frank Leto, Sr. and Josh Bibler found two reds weighing 15.81 pounds to secure their spot in the standings.

Rounding out the Top 5 were Team Fesler (Chuck and Cameron Fesler), finishing in 4th (15.21), and Team Florida Blood (Allen Thrun, Chris Weldon, and Pete Waechter) finishing in 5th (13.06).

The final stop and the Championship of the Tampa Bay Redfish Tour Winter Series will take place at the Ft. Desoto boat ramp on February 21st. More information on this event can be found on the Event Calendar.
