Wise earns win at Okeechobee

The Lake Worth Boynton Beach Bassmasters’ 2015/2016 season is in full swing. They kicked off the new season in October at the Lock 7 ramp at the north end of Lake Okeechobee. They swung to the south end of the lake on November 22nd, launching from the Clewiston public boat ramp, where 18 anglers, 9 boaters and 9 co-anglers, set out for a day of competition.

Dave Wise found the bites that would be needed in topping the boater division. Wise weighed a five-bass limit worth 18.05 pounds in his win.

Scott Osinga finished in the runner-up spot with a  14.90-pound, five-bass limit, anchored by a 6.31-pound kicker. Bryan Carter finished in third place with 13.01 pounds.

Junior Iriban got the better of the co-angler field with a 14.97-pound, five-bass limit. He anchored his catch with a 7.27-pound kicker.

Duke Johnson finished the day in second place amongst co-anglers. He weighed a 12.91-pound bag, but anchored his five-bass limit with the day’s Big Bass-an 8.00-pound TrophyCatch. Michael Tracey weighed a 10.95-pound bag to finish in third place.
