Putnam County and St. John’s River to Host 2024 Xtreme Bass Series Championship

Palatka, FL- As the 2023 season gears up for its grand finale with the Blazer Boats Xtreme Bass Series Championship presented by Mercury Marine and Discover Lake County, the anticipation is already building for a monumental 2024 season, marking the Xtreme Bass Series’ 20th anniversary.

Today, Xtreme Bass Series announced that the 2024 Championship will return to the scenic shores of the St. John’s River in Palatka, FL. Scheduled for October 31st through November 2nd, 2024, the event will unfold at Palatka City Docks.

“For almost two decades, Xtreme Bass Series has been fortunate to work alongside great partners, divisional directors, and anglers alike towards growing into the largest grass roots bass tournament trail in Florida,” reflected XBS President Brian Stahl. Expressing his excitement, he added, “What better way to celebrate the 20th year than by holding the championship in the Bass Fishing Capital of the World?”

Once again, Visit Florida’s Putnam County will play host to the event. Stahl reminisced about the thrilling climax of the 2017 championship on the St. John’s River, where John Chaney and Brett Bollinger emerged victorious, emphasizing the excitement of returning to Putnam County for the anniversary event.

“We are very excited for the return of Xtreme Bass for their 2024 Xtreme Series Championship”, said Dana C. Jones, TDC Coordinator & President, Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.  “This event brings over 400 visitors to our community and the economic impact they create is significant to our local economy.  On behalf of the Putnam County Tourist Development Council and Chamber of Commerce we thank them for choosing Putnam County for this prestigious event.”
