Ramsey gets three-peat

The Bay County Bass Club shifted their focus last month to Lake Talquin for the club’s October tournament. Al Ramsey seems to be heating up as the seasons begin to change. He boated an 11.75-pound, five-bass limit to win his third consecutive event with the Bay County Bass Club. The 3.24-pound kicker which anchored Ramsey’s bag was the largest bass weighed in during the event, and took the Big Bass award. With the victory, Ramsey increases his lead in the Angler of the Year race.

Terry Bryant finished the day in second place with a 7.12-pound, five-bass limit. Brian Sullivan’s two bass weighed 5.05 pounds, and was enough to earn a third place finish. He was followed by Donovan Motley in fourth place with 4.31 pounds, and Darrin Ribbing in fifth place with 3.42 pounds.

The Bay County Bass Club is registered for the 2016 Florida State Team Championship being held on Lake Toho April 8-10, 2016. The Top 8 anglers from the Angler of the Year points race will for teams to compete for a new Blazer 595 Pro Elite powered by a 200 HP Mercury Pro XS.

The club’s next event is scheduled for November 14th at Compass Lake.
