2016 Florida State Team Championship dates announced

Wait, you haven’t heard about the Florida State Team Championship yet?

Well, this one-of-a-kind event was designed to reward top finishing anglers from organizations who have registered with the FSTC by giving them the opportunity to compete for something more than just bragging rights amongst their buddies; though bragging about beating the best grass roots tournament anglers the state has to offer is encouraged.

We have been inviting organizations (clubs, trails, and major open events) to register for the 2016 FSTC and send their top 4 teams in Team/Angler of the Year points to compete against other top grass roots anglers from around the state. There, those qualified anglers will have the opportunity to compete for a new Blazer 595 Pro Elite powered by a 200 Mercury ProXS valued at over $40,000.00!

Wait, your club hasn’t registered yet? Organization registration is open to any established club or trail, as well as major open events such as the Wolfson Children’s Hospital tournament and the Fishing for Autism Open. Anglers must compete with a registered organization in order to qualify for the 2016 FSTC, and must not be considered a professional angler by FSTC standards. Organizations do not need to be affiliated with a major organization such as the B.A.S.S. Nation or The Bass Federation to register.

This will truly be a one-of-a-kind event, where upwards of 200+ teams will be invited for a chance at being crowned the Inaugural Florida State Team Champions. Of course the winning team won’t be the only ones to benefit, the organization those anglers represent will benefit as well. The organization who sends the team that ultimately wins the 2016 FSTC will be presented with the $1,000.00 Club Cash Award. This money can help benefit the organization in whatever way they see fit to benefit their anglers.

To help with a few of the costs associated with running an event such as this, there is a $100.00 registration fee per organization. Competing teams will be responsible for their tournament entry fee of $250.00 per team, this is not something organizations are required to cover. With 1-in-5 payout scale, and the Top 3 Big Bass of each day earning a prize, anglers are sure to enjoy the over 160% payback on a full field of 200 teams.

At this point, you’re asking ‘Well, when and where is this tournament being held?!’

Destination: Kissimmee, Fla.

That’s right! We hope you’re ready to compete on what ranked as #16 on Bassmaster’s Top 100 Lakes of 2015, beautiful Lake Tohopekaliga. Qualified anglers will be competing on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes April 9-10, 2016 during one of the most productive times of the year, with a pre-tournament banquet being held on April 8th, 2016.

If you are a tournament director interested in registering your club, please visit www.FishFSTC.com for more information and download the Official 2016 Florida State Team Championship information kit. If you’re an angler who would like to have a chance at competing for a new Blazer bass boat, let your tournament officials know you want them to register your organization!
