Bay Area Bassmasters is “the world’s largest B.A.S.S. Nation ‘buddy’ team tournament trail.” Based out of Tampa, FL this “bass fishing club is designed to provide a little something for anglers of all ages, with or without experience,’ and holds events on bodies of water across the state. The club held the 9th event of their season on September 13th, fishing on East Lake Toho.

With 29 teams competing on a day when many anglers struggled, Mike Hardy and Pam Hardy were able to find the right bites to win the event. Their 5 fish limit weighing 14.42 lbs. consisted of a giant 9.21-lb. lunker, which also won Big Bass honors.

Ron Hebert Jr. and Paul Macchia finished in 2nd place. They weighed a 12.19-lb., 5 bass limit. A 4.38-lb. kicker anchored their bag.

Allen Powers and Billy Wood rounded out the Top 3 with a 5 bass limit weighing 11.29 lbs.

Here’s how the rest of the Top 10 finished:

4th: Carl Powers and Matthew Miller-5 fish, 10.90 lbs.

5th: Tom Craighead and Tim Hibbs-5 fish, 10.49 lbs.

6th: Rodney Yavorsky and Chuck Gomez-5 fish, 9.90 lbs.

7th: Michael Press and Alan Press-5 fish, 9.67 lbs.

8th: Gary Ford and Joe Hobson-5 fish, 8.75 lbs.

9th: Clink Kummelman and Mark Kummelman-5 fish, 7.76 lbs.

10th: Vincent Dellolio and Dominic Dellolio-4 fish, 7.66 lbs.

With one event left in the regular season, Jeff Crandon and Dan Richardson still have a strong hold on the Team of the Year standings.

The final event of the regular season for Bay Area Bassmasters will take place on Lake Toho, on October 11th. More information on that event can be found in the Event Calendar.
