Foster Starts 2015 with Another Win

The Toho Marine Elite One Man Tour opened up the 2015 season on the boat dealership’s namesake lake, Lake Toho, on February 7th. The start of a new year always gives anglers the sense of a clean slate, where everyone is equal in the standings. That in the new year, they’ll make the right adjustments to finish atop the leaderboard. Though the event marked the start of a fresh season for all 51 competing anglers, one thing remained the same as it was in 2014-Chad Foster.

The 2014 Angler of the Year and Classic Champion proved himself yet again, as Foster trumped the rest of the field. After winning 5 events last season, including the tour’s 2-day classic, Foster brought a 20.40-pound, 5 bass limit to the scales to claim the win as he carried momentum from 2014 into the new season.

John Brazzell secured a second place finish with his 14.76-pound limit. Rich Howes ended the day with a third place finish, weighing a 13.64-pound limit. Rounding out the Top 5 was Jimmie Murphy (13.44), and Dean Harcourt (12.88).

Tim Miller’s 7.56-pounder earned him the Big Bass award for the day. Foster anchored his tournament winning bag with the tournament’s 2nd Big Bass, a 5.70-pound kicker.

The Toho Marine Elite One Man Tour travels South to Lake Okeechobee on March 7th for the tour’s 2nd stop of 2015. More information on this event can be found on the Event Calendar.
