Hendry Wins Lakeland Bassmasters Classic

Lakeland Bassmasters, “The Largest B.A.S.S. affiliated club in the world,” offers unique opportunities for the experienced angler and those new to tournament bass fishing. Members have the opportunity to fish with, and against, some of the most experienced anglers in Central Florida. On November 9th, 37 qualifying anglers met on Lake Kissimmee for the club’s end of year Classic. Anglers weren’t privileged to the location of the Classic until the day before the event.

John Hendry boated a 16.40-lb., 5 bass limit to best the field and earn the Classic win.

Chris Hawker finished just shy of a pound away from the top spot. Hawker’s 15.45-lb., 5 bass limit earned him a 2nd place finish.

Scott Visker finished in 3rd place with a 14.60-lb., 5 bass limit.

David Perry weighed in 14.50 lbs., and finished in 4th place.

Luke Ferguson rounded out the Top 5, catching a 13.60-lb., 5 bass limit.

The club will hold it’s end of year banquet on December 7th at the Huntington Hills Country Club in Lakeland. The 2015 season will kick off in January. Keep checking back for the 2015 schedule.
