Stephen Mekdeci & Ryan Mekdeci topped a 34 boat field at the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes at the recent Bay Area Bassmasters event on June 10th. The Mekdeci’s weighed a 23.88 pound, 5 bass limit. They anchored their bag with an 8.33 pound TrophyCatch to secure the win by more than a pound.
Fred Girvin & Chuck Redding finished the day in second place with a 22.16 pound, 5 bass limit. Dylan Casazza & Charles Tillberg finished in third place with a 20.60 pound, 5 bass limit. Rounding out the Top 5 were the teams of Gary Ford & Ben Smith in fourth place with 20.10 pounds, followed by Matt Miller & Carl Powers in fifth place with 18.87 pounds.
Big Bass of the event went to Gary Ford & Ben Smith with a 9.34 pound TrophyCatch.
Shawn Cartright & Rick Borden took home the Dink award with an 0.87 pound bass.
