Shaffer Wins Winter Haven Wrangle

The Florida Trails Bassmasters out of Orlando held the 10^th event of their season on Saturday, August 9^th. 16 anglers showed up to the Winter Haven Wrangle on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes out of W.G. Roe Park.

Jeff Shaffer topped the field with his 10.93-pound, 5 bass limit. A 4.14-pound kicker anchored his bag and gave him valuable Angler of the Year points for the club.

Randy Montoney finished in 2^nd place, bringing 3 bass to the scales that weighed 9.64 pounds, with one fish weighing 6.62 pounds.

Ralph Garbiras brought a 5 bass limit weighing 9.56 pounds to the scales. He finished in 3^rd place.

Silverio Roca finished in 4^th place. Roca only caught 2 fish that weighed 8.30 pounds, but he won the event’s Big Bass award thanks in part to a 7.22-pound toad.

Bob Harper rounded out the Top 5, with 4 bass that weighed 7.86 pounds.
