On April 12:

Mark Sommer and Jonathan Farmer were the first boat to weigh in during the King of the Glades 4th qualifier at Holiday Park. The team set the bar at 32.12 pounds, and it never budged. Chad Langley and Joe D’Orio weighed a 27.73 pounds limit. Doug Harris and Carl Bousquet earned a third place finish with 22.34 pounds. Aymon Wilcox’s 7.93-pounder earned the Big Bass award for the day.~

The 4th event for the Lake Kissimmee Division of the Xtreme Bass Series was decisively won by Don Eady and Kenny Bivins. The duo anchored their 32.50-pound limit with a 9.55-pound lunker to beat out 17 other teams. Carry and Terry Friend weighed a solid 25-87-pound limit to finish in second place. Troy Olivier and David Crews finished in third, weighing a 23.85-pound limit. The team also anchored their bag with the day’s Big Bass, a 10.20-pound lunker. The Kissimmee Divison will compete May 17th for the fifth event of the season.~

The Lakeland Bassmasters traveled down to Lake Istokpoga, which plays host to the 62 boaters and co-anglers. Gary Hawkins topped the field, weighing a 17.15-pound, 3 bass lake limit. Raymond Trudeau anchored his 15.85-pound, second place limit with a 7.20-pounder. That fish earned Trudeau the day’s Big Bass award. Levi Brown secured a third place finish, weighing a 12.88-pound limit. Lake Toho is the next scheduled stop for the club on May 17th.~

Jay Trudel and Paul Gale won the Weekend Bassers two-day event at Lake Istokpoga. The duo topped the 13 boat field by weighing 22.31 pounds over two days of competition. David Peters and Doug Stenger finished in second place, weighing 20.32 pounds over the weekend. Dave and Neil Waymire earned a third place finish, catching 19.51 pounds over both days. Big Bass for the tournament was boated by Louis Damiano and Deana Luke. That fished weighed 7.54 pounds. The club competes over two days of competition at Lake Okeechobee, May 2nd-3rd.~
