Wallace Takes Top Spot in South Florida Bass Pros? Final Event of Season

Larry Brown takes home AOY points title

The South Florida Bass Pros? ended their 2022/2023 season on July 8th in Belle Glade on Lake Okeechobee.

Todd Wallace topped a 12 angler field to win the event, and out of the back of the boat. Wallace weighed a 9.27 pound, 4 fish bag to take home the win. Wallace anchored his bag with a 3.34 pound kicker to also earn Big Bass honors of the event.

Daniel Hamilton finished as the top boater, but second overall, with the only 5 bass limit to hit the scales. Hamilton’s bag weighed 7.15 pounds.

Don Richards finished third place overall with a 6.13 pound, 4 bass limit.

Rounding out the Top 5 were David House in fourth place with 2.84 pounds, followed by Larry Brown in fifth place with 2.78 pounds.

Meeting attendance points play a crucial role in event standings as well. These results are based on fish caught and weighed in. See below for final results.

Larry Brown took home the top spot in the Angler of the Year points race. Brown edged out Sal Biviano by 45 points to take home the title. David House finished the season in third place after missing the May and June events, finishing only 64 points behind.
