West, Leverette take top honors at Kissimmee Bass Series event

Solid bags of fish were weighed throughout the Kissimmee Bass Series event at Camp Mack on August 23rd, where Larry West and Jeff Leverette earned their second win in the month of August with a 24.75-pound, five-bass limit. They weighed a nearly 30-pound bag earlier in the month to win another event as well.

West and Leverette edged out second place finishers Chad Stewart and Bobby Wooten by a little more than a pound. Stewart and Wooten weighed a 23.65-pound bag. Jerry High and Jay Hagood finished in third place with 22.05 pounds. Martin Dukes and Chad Schroeder earned a fourth place finish with 21.95 pounds, followed by James Pearson and Jeff Crandon in fifth place with 20.95 pounds.

The tournament’s Big Bass award went to Joey Bruce for his 9.20-pound lunker. Jason Liggett earned the 2nd Big Bass award with his 8.75-pound TrophyCatch.

The Kissimmee Bass Series final event prior to the end of season championship is scheduled for September 27th. The end of season classic is scheduled for October 24-25, 2015 at Camp Mack.
