Cammarata Crowned Florida Trails Classic Champ

Members of the Florida Trails Bassmasters fished in their final event of the season on Oct. 11th with the Bobby Maresca Memorial Classic. The club’s end of season Classic tournament took place on Lake Toho, where 18 anglers went head to head for the Classic title.

Boater Phil Cammarata only weighed in 3 fish for the event, but it proved to be just enough to take the victory. An 8.20-lb. toad anchored his 10.76-lb. bag, and also won the Big Bass award.

Dennis O’Byrne narrowly missed the Florida Trail’s Classic title. Due to a 0.25 oz dead fish penalty, O’Byrne finished in 2nd place by 0.15 oz with a 10.61-lb. total.

Joe Winkler finished in 3rd place, weighing a 9.92-lb., 5 bass limit.

4th place went to Blain Partee. A 3.82-lb. kicker anchored Partee’s 9.90-lb., 4 bass bag.

Jeff Shaffer rounded out the Top 5, catching a 9.69-lb., 5 bass limit. A 3.69-lb. kicker anchored his bag.
