Coleman, Brewer win XBS: Kissimmee Qualifier

The summertime heat continued to beat down on anglers fishing the Xtreme Bass Series: Lake Kissimmee divisional event on Sunday, August 3rd. 9 teams launched from Camp Mack in Lake Wales, FL in search of 5 summertime bites. The team of Steve Coleman and Jason Brewer brought a 21.95-pound, 5 bass limit to the scales to win the 8th qualifying event of the season.

Rich Anthony and Scott Perry finished in 2nd place, weighing a 21.45-pound, 5 bass limit.

Garrett Rocamora and Levi Brown rounded out the Top 3. Their 5 bass limit weighed 17.25 pounds.

Coleman & Brewer, and Rocamora & Brown tied for Big Bass honors. Both teams weighed in an 8.10-pound lunker to anchor their limits.

The next event for anglers fishing the XBS: Lake Kissimmee division is scheduled for Sunday, September 14th. This will be the 9th and final event of the 2014 season for anglers competing towards qualifying for the 2014 Championship. At this year’s championship, qualifying anglers will have the opportunity to fish for a brand new Ranger Z119 powered by a 200HP Evinrude outboard. To qualify, anglers must fish 7 events in one division, or 8 events total of all divisions. For more information on the event, click the link below, or visit xbseries.com.
