Conant, Foster Earn Second Divisional Win

The Kissimmee Division of the Xtreme Bass Series held their third event of the season on March 29th out of Camp Mack’s River Resort. 20 teams launched from the Old Florida style fish camp in search of big females and crucial points towards the Team of the Year race.

Eric Conant and Michael Foster found the necessary bites to accomplish that task and earn the victory. Conan and Foster, who won the division’s first event of the season, hauled in 23.10 pounds of the win. The duo also earned the Big Bass honor with the 7.75-pounder that anchored their bag.

Garrett Rocamora and Levi Brown teamed up and earned a second place finish for the day. Rocamora and Brown brought a 20.85-pound, 5 bass limit to the scales to solidify their finish. Gary Niemi and James Dyer finished just ounces behind in third place, weighing a 20.70-pound limit. Troy Olivier and David Crews earned the final spot at the cut in fourth place. Olivier and Crews weighed 17.60 pounds, anchored by a 6.26-pound kicker.

With 9 events in each division, anglers competing in Xtreme Bass Series events can qualify for the 2015 Championship at Lake Okeechobee, November 5-7, 2015. At this years championship, qualifying anglers will have the opportunity to fish for a brand new Blazer 595 Pro Elite, powered by a 200 HP outboard. To qualify, anglers must fish 7 of the 9 events in one division, or 8 events total from all divisions combined. Teams who finish in the Top 4 of their division will also be invited to compete in the 2016 Florida State Team Championship, where teams of anglers from various organizations across the state, will have the opportunity to compete for another Blazer 595 Pro Elite powered by a 200 HP outboard.
