The Winter Haven Lunker Lovers, a TBF affiliated club, held their first event of the 2015 season on January 11th. 36 anglers arrived at Lake Shipp Park, on the South Winter Haven Chain of Lakes, to kick off the season.

Darrell Cranor competed in his first event as a member of the Winter Haven Lunker Lovers, and made his mark. Cranor won the event, catching only 3 fish, with a 16.61 pound total. He also locked in the Big Bass award with a 7.63 pound lunker.
David Harris secured a second place finish weighing in a 13.21 pound total. Barry Macchion finished in third, catching 12.59 pounds of Winter Haven Chain bass, and Jim Blume landed in 4th place with his 12.54 pound bag.
The Winter Haven Lunker Lovers will compete on the weekend of February 14th and 15th at Lake Okeechobee for the club’s next event. More information can be found on the Event Calendar.
