Crosby and Crosby win Tampa Pro Bass Classic

Jeff and Dana Crosby topped the 13 team field at the end of season Classic event for Tampa Pro Bass. The two day event was held at Lake Okeechobee, launching each day from Roland and Mary Ann Martin’s Marina and Resort.

The husband and wife team had a commanding lead on day 1 of more than 11 pounds with a 29.50 pound, 5 bass limit. Anchoring their bag was a 7.17 pound lunker that took Big Bass honors for the day. The Crosby’s followed up on day two with only 4 fish that weighed 10.42 pounds for a two day total of 39.92 pounds, which was still more than enough to claim the top spot.

JR Rushing and Brian Harvey finished the event in second place. They sat in fifth place after day one with a 12.62 pound, 5 bass limit. They were able to capitalize on the right bites on day two and brought in 3 fish that weighed 23.52 pounds for a two day total of 36.14 pounds.

Matt Glendenning and Chris Fox took home a third place finish after starting the event in 9th place. Day one yielded 4 fish for 10.78 pounds, but a 20.87 pound, 5 bass limit boosted their standings with a two day total of 31.65 pounds.

Rounding out the Top 5 were the teams of George Brook & Johnny Loudermilk in fourth place with a two day total of 30.84 pounds, followed by the team of Richard Lancaster and Gary Silas in fifth place with 27.99 pounds over two days.

Richardson and Riggs win points championship

Dan Richardson and Joe Riggs took home team of the year honors for the club. The duo notched 6 Top 5 finishes in 7 events, including a win at the Winter Haven Chain event held on April 2nd. Jeff Crosby and Dana Crosby finished the season in second place, just 7 points behind. Richard Landcaster and Gary Silas finished the season in third place overall.
