Livewell Check

The past few weeks have been rather busy here at the Fishing Tournament Report, so lets recap some of the recent events in this edition of the Livewell Check!

Billy Bowen and Donnie Peavy won the Xtreme Bass Series divisional event at Rodman with a 14.17-pound, five-bass limit on July 11th. Brandon and Jessie Williams took second place with 13.76 pounds, as well as the big fish honor with their 5.09-pound kicker. Allen Ives andJack Flowers finished in third with 12.16 pounds.~

The Lake Rousseau division competed on the same day. Scott Bullard and Tracy Hurst won that event with a 24.28-pound, five-bass limit. Harold Beasley and Bill McClellan finished in second place with 18.25 pounds. The 9.24-pound lunker anchoring their bag earned the big fish honor. RJ Crawford and Jay Marriott finished in third place with 13.52 pounds.~

Jeff Topmiller won his third Florida Trails Bassmasters event in a row at the Harris Chain of Lakes. Topmiller weighed a 9.27-pound, five-bass limit to win the event, including a 2.83-pound kicker to secure the big fish award. Jeff Shaffer finished in second with 9.13 pounds. Paul Montoney finished in third with 8.06 pounds.~

Bobby Wooten won the Camp Mack One Man with 19.50 pounds. John Stahl and Richie Upchurch tied for second place with 14.60 pounds. Upchurch anchored his bag with a 7.35-pounder to earn the big fish pot.~

Greg Swearinger and Dez Davis weighed a 19.31-pound bag form Lake Wier to win the Eaton’s Beach Bass Tournament presented by Fitzgerald Rods. The duo anchored their bag with a 6.16-pounder to win the big fish award. Mike Davis and Dennis Hernandez finished in second place with a 19.08-pound bag. Jason and Troy Guynn finished in third place with 11.10 pounds.~

David Harris topped the Winter Haven Lunker Lovers field at Lake Kissimmee on July 12th with a 20.38-pound bag. Harris also earned the big bass award for his 9.85-pound lunker. Allen Prince finished in second place with 14.85 pounds, followed by Lamar Middleton in third with 13.02 pounds.~

Darrell Cranor and Will Evans topped the leaderboard of the Kissimmee Division of the Xtreme Bass Series on July 12th with a 19.75-pound bag. They anchored their limit with an 8.30-pound TrophyCatch to earn the big fish prize. Troy Olivier and David Crews finished in second place with an even 19.00 pounds. Third place was awarded to Ken and Stephen Whitlow for their 17.65-pound bag.~

Bill Bierbaugh boated a 12.19-pound, three-fish limit to win the Lakeland Bassmasters event at Lake Istokpoga. Cecil Douberly finished in second place after a dead fish penalty cost him the win. Daubery’s final total after penalty was an even 12.00 pounds. Third place was awarded to Bob Eid with 9.81 pounds, after dead fish penalties. Kenny Trimble’s 6.56-pound kicker earned the big bass award for the tournament.~

Gary Gileleo and Greg Williams topped the field at the Saturday Warrior Series event Lake Parker on July 18th. The duo weighed an 18.70-pound bag, including the big bass of the event, weighing in at 7.60 pounds. Dr. Tramell Vickers and Adarius Taylor finished in second place with 10.60 pounds.~
