McMillian Owns Okeechobee

03.Mar.2014-The name McMillan has always been synonymous with Lake Okeechobee, and Jared McMillan continues to keep that a tradition. He bested 195 other anglers on Saturday to win the 3^rd event of the Walmart BFL Gator Division. McMillan’s 5 bass limit weighing 29-09, was enough to separate him from 2^nd place finisher Caleb Frazier by less than a pound. McMillan received a huge payday for the win, amassing $8,191 between tournament winnings, Ranger Cup and Evinrude Bonuses.

Frazier’s 5 bass limit weighed 28-14, which netted him $2,945.

3^rd place went to Moore Haven’s Bryan Honnerlaw. His best 5 weighed 28-03, anchored by a monster 10-04. That fish landed Honnerlaw the events Big Bass honor, and helped him to a $2,939 dollar payday.

Jesse Woodring of Jupiter, FL finished 4^th with a 5 bass limit weighing 26-02. Woodring took home $1,374 for his efforts.

Penney Farms, FL resident Tony Haymon rounded out the top 5, bringing  25-09 to the scales. Those 5 bass enabled Haymon to cash a check worth $1,178.
