Meisenheimer, Lanier earn win at June

The Highlands County Bass Club held their second open in their inaugural season at Lake June-in-Winter on September 20th. 18 teams of anglers arrived at the ramp to compete in the three-fish limit tournament.

Mike Meisenheimer, also known throughout the YouTube community as Mikeybalzz, teamed up with John Lanier to sweep the field with a 12-pound, 8 ounce three-bass limit. The duo anchored their catch with a 4-pound, 14-ounce kicker and also earned the Big bass award.

Chris and Cody Taylor finished the day in second place with an 8-pound, 2-ounce bag. Jack Lambert and Tim Cowart weighed a 7-pound, 12-ounce bag to finish in third place, followed by Jimmy Story and Ronda Worries in fourth with 7.10 pounds, and Skeeter Coleman in fifth with 6.20 pounds.

The Highlands County Bass Club will begin their season this Sunday at Lake Walk-in-Water. Membership will be required for this event. For more information, visit www.highlandscountybassclub.com.
