Remor, Wilkerson Grind Out Win on Post Frontal Kissimmee

The Outcasts Bass Club celebrates 30 years of building relationships through fellowship, sportsmanship, and competition of bass tournament fishing with the start of the 2015 season. On January 31st, 23 teams arrived at the Highway 60 boat ramp at the southern end of Lake Kissimmee to kick off the club’s pearl year.

The Kissimmee Chain has experienced excess angling pressure over the past few weeks. Couple that with a steady dose of passing cold fronts, and it becomes a recipe for a tough bite.

Greg Remor and Doug Wilkerson were able to capitalize on the tough conditions, as they brought a 12.16-pound, 5 bass limit to the scales to claim the win in the first event of the season. Mike and Matt Bedenbaugh were able to secure a second place finish with their 11.84-pound limit. Chris Meuret and Steve Rabel rounded out the Top 3 with their 11.79-pound bag.

Big Bass honors for the day was awarded to Curtis and Don Thompson for their 5.83-pounder.

The club’s next event will be held at Lake Istokpoga, launching from Istokpoga Park on Highway 98, on February 28th. More information on the club’s next event can be found on the Event Calendar.
