Dean, Hosford find pay-dirt on St. Johns

The Bass Attack Trail is a little more than halfway through their 2014-2015 season. On January 24th, the trail made it’s 8th stop of the season at the St. Johns River out of Ed Stone Park. 17 teams battled the high winds and cool air temps, hoping to find pay-dirt.

Austin Dean and John Hosford mined their way through the St. Johns River waters as they put together a 16.31-pound, 5 bass limit to win the event. They struck gold when they boated the 7.65-pounder that anchored their limit, and earned the team the Big Bass award.

Robert Webb and Peter Ferrentino finished in a distant second place, by a little more than 5-pound margin, with an 11.08-pound bag. Ricky Smith and Jay Flositz rounded out the Top 3 with a 10.50-pound total.

The Bass Attack Trail will compete February 28th at the Clermont Chain of Lakes for their 9th event of the season. More details can be found on the Event Calendar.
