The weather has started to heat up, and so has the bite!

On February 28th, the father/son team of Dylan and Randy Harris took overall honors at the Bass Attack Trail event on the Clermont Chain. In subpar weather conditions, the Harris’ caught a 16.95-pound, 5 bass limit to earn the win. Jeff Davis and Zack Smith finished in second place with a 15.02-pound bag. Austin Scott and Michael Marion finished in third place with 14.81 pounds. The team also won the Big Bass prize with their 6.08-pounder. The trail’s next event is scheduled for the Harris Chain on March 28th.

The same day on the Harris Chain marked the start of the Oakley Big Bass Tour. Robby Peralta topped the 2-day, hourly weigh-in event with a 10.15-pound giant. That fish earned Peralta a new Nitro Z7 powered by a 150 HP Mercury Pro XS valued at $30,000.00. Peralta weighed his fish during the 12:00-1:00 hour on the first day of competition. Juan Fair weighed his 9.06-pounder to win the 1:00-2:00 hour on Sunday, earning the honor of being the second largest fish of the tournament. Richard Anthony won the 2:00-3:00 hour with the third largest bass of the weekend, weighing in at an even 9.00 pounds.

The Tampa Pro Bass Team Tournament Trail held the 6th event of their season at Lake Istokpoga on March 1st. Jeff Crosby teamed up with Lee Frye to bring a 22.24-pound, 5 bass limit to the scales and secure the win. Brian Divito and Sean Wiggins finished in second place, weighing a 20.98-pound limit. They also won the Big Bass award with an 8.30-pound lunker. Pete and Rob Roberson finished in third place, weighing a 20.34-pound limit. The next event for Tampa Pro Bass is scheduled for April 12th on Lake Kissimmee.

The Xtreme Bass Series: Lake Istokpoga Divison set out on the same day for their second event of the year. The team of Brad Day and Cody Craig topped the Xtreme Field with a 24.96-pound, 5 bass limit. An 8.23-pound lunker anchored their bag, earning them the Big Bass award as well. Eric Conant and Michael Foster finished in second place, weighing a 21.15-pound limit. Mike Keyso and Donnie Bass finished in the final spot amongst the Top 3 with a 20.46-pound limit. The 3rd event for the Xtreme Bass Series: Lake Istokpoga Division is scheduled for April 26th. 

Scott Bumgarner and Bryan Carter teamed up to bring a 29.82-pound bag into the scales to win Round 3 of the King of the Glades trail on Lake Okeechobee. Durand Loce and Jared McMillan finished in second place, weighing a 22.82-pound bag. Steve Forssell and Rod Dayler finished in third place, catching a 22.55-pound bag. KOTG Round 4 is scheduled for April 12th at Everglades Holiday Park. 

Wayne Yohn won the Camp Mack One Man Open at Lake Kissimmee on March 7th. His 1st place bag weighed 15.80 pounds. Yohn anchored his catch with the Big Bass of the day, an 8.20-pound lunker. Henry Rodriguez finished close behind in second place, weighing a 15.45-pound bag. James Person took third place with a 9.25-pound bag. The next Camp Mack One Man is scheduled for April 4th.
