Upcoming Tournaments

As the weather continues to heat up across the state, so does the fishing.

On Saturday:

The Paralyzed Veterans of America set out on Lake Toho for a 2-day derby, starting with registration on Friday at the Heritage Park Hotel. Entry fee is $50.00.

The Bass Attack Trail heads back to the Harris Chain for the 10th event of the 2014/2015 season. $50.00 entry fee per team.

The Crackerboys Bass Club launches from Crystal Cove Resort on the St. Johns River for the third event of the year. To participate in this event, you must have fished in one of the first two tournaments of the season. Membership is closed for the remainder of the season.

The Outcasts Bass Club travels to the Southport boat ramp on Lake Toho for the 3rd tournament of the year. Anglers are limited to Lake Toho only, and are not allowed to lock through to the lower lakes on the chain. Entry fee is $60.00 per team.

The Xtreme Bass Series has two divisional events launching Saturday morning. The St. Johns River Division will launch form Crystal Cove Resort, while the Lake Talquin Division launches from the Whippoorwill boat ramp. Entry fee is $120.00 per team.

The Florida Kayak Anglers will paddle their way through the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes, launching from Lake Summitt. Entry fee is $20.00, optional $10.00 Big Bass side pot. 100% payback.

The Jimmy McMillan Memorial Bass Tournament will launch from Torry Island in Belle Glade on the southeast side of Lake Okeechobee. Entry fee is $60.00 per team, and the field is limited to 150 boats. First place guaranteed $2,000.00. 1-in-5 payback.

On Sunday:

The Xtreme Bass Series: Lake Kissimmee Division‘s third event of the season takes place at Camp Mack. $120.00 entry fee per team, safelight until 3.

USA Bassin’s Central Florida Division is set for Lake Toho out of Big Toho Marina. $50.00 entry fee per team, Big Bass pot optional at $10.00.
