The Weekend Bassers out of West Palm Beach held the 5th event of their season on March 8th. O.B. O’Brien and Johnny Panozzo bested the 15 boat field on Lake Okeechobee with a 21.04-pound, 5 bass limit. David Peters and Doug Stenger secured a second place finish, as they weighed a 20.04-pound stringer. Anchoring their limit was a 7.09-pound kicker, which earned the team the Big Bass honor for the day. Mike and T.J. Doran brought an 18.14-pound limit to the scales to finish in third place. The club will spend the weekend of April 11th and 12th at Lake Istokpoga for their next event.

The bite was a little slower on the Harris Chain for the Four Corners Bass Club. Rob Mestina and Rick Cameron were able to put a pattern together to top the 7 other teams in the club’s first event of the 2015/2016 season. Their 9 pound, 12 ounce limit was anchored by the days Big Bass, a 3 pound, 1 ounce kicker. Chris Roberts and Brian Blase were the only other team to boat a 5 bass limit. Their 5 pound, 12 ounce bag earned them a second place finish. The club will travel to the Clermont Chain on April 12th for the 2nd event of the season.

Ronnie Green topped the Boater field at the Ram Weekend Bass Series event at Lake Toho on March 14th. Green boated an even 19.00-pound, 5 bass limit of Kissimmee Chain bass to edge out second place finisher Jeremy Smith. Smith’s overall total weighed in at 18.49 pounds. Juan Ruiz nabbed the final spot in the Top 3, weighing an 18.47-pound limit. Ruiz anchored his bag with an 8.14-pound lunker. Troy Olivier secured a fourth place finish with the help of the Big Bass of the day. Olivier’s 11.78-pound giant beat out Edwin Rivera’s 10.03-pound hawg for the award.

Keith Stills swept the Co-angler side as he caught a 3-bass limit weighing 11.31 pounds. Stills also won the Big Bass award for the Co-angler division with a 6.34-pound lunker. Bryan Jones earned a second place finish, weighing a 10.60-pound limit. Eddie Scaturro’s 8.94-pound bag landed him in third place in the overall standings. The next Ram Weekend Series event is scheduled to be held at the Harris Chain of Lakes on May 2nd.
