Townend, Trieschmann Top Their Divisions in LWBBB Event

The Lake Worth Boynton Beach Bassmasters are full steam ahead for the 2014/2015 season. The club held their 2nd event of the year on November 23rd. Launching from the Clewiston boat ramp on Lake Okeechobee, 16 boaters and 14 co-anglers had hopes of finding the giants the ‘Big O’ is known for.

Benny Townend didn’t catch any giants, but he did find enough quality fish to win the event on the boater side. His 19.09-lb., 5 bass bag was anchored by a 5.59-lb. kicker.

Jake Whitman finished in 2nd place. Whitman brought an 18.48-lb. bag to the scales. His 5 bass limit was anchored by a chunky 6.47-lb. bass.

Dave Wise finished in 3rd place, weighing in a 17.87-lb., 5 bass limit. A beautiful 6.95-lb. Lake Okeechobee kicker anchored Wise’s bag, and was the largest bass weighed for the event.

Adam Trieschmann bested the 13 other anglers from the back deck. Fishing with Jim Stovall, Trieschmann caught an 11.67-lb., 5 bass limit to win the event.

Wayne Guest spent the day on Mike Yon’s boat. Guest caught a 9.26-lb., 5 bass limit to finish in 2nd place.

Michael Tracy caught 4 fish that weighed 9.05 lbs. fishing from Robert Leddick’s boat. Tracy finished in 3rd place for the event.

The Lake Worth Boynton Beach Bassmasters is a FLW Federated, Pro/Am draw club. They belong to The Bass Federation and the Florida Bass Federation. Located in Palm Beach County, the club meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Hurricane Grill and Wings in Wellington, FL.
