Upcoming Tournaments

There are many tournaments coming up this weekend. Another cold front is due to push its way across the state tomorrow, dropping temperatures yet again. We will also be a few days removed from tonight’s Full Moon. Regardless of the cooler temperatures, anglers are sure to find a few spawning females.

On Saturday:

The First Annual Kick Cancer in the Bass Tournament will take place at the South Winter Haven Chain. The tournament will launch from the old Lake Shipp ramp. Entry fee is $100.00.

The Florida Trails Bassmasters ‘Battle at the Blue’ takes place at Blue Cypress. The tournament will launch from Blue Cypress Park, with a $20.00 entry fee and optional $5.00 Big Bass pot.

Lake Toho will play host to a few derbies on Saturday, including the Toho Marine Elite One Man. No partner, no Co-angler, just you vs. the fish. Entry fee is $100.00 and includes Big Bass. The tournament will launch from Lake Toho Resort.

Fish Tales Team Trail will launch from Big Toho Marina. Entry fee is $60.00 per team, with Big Bass pot optional at $10.00 per boat.

The Jacksonville Bass Club will compete on the St. Johns River, launching from the Palatka City docks. Entry fee is $80.00, and yearly membership is set at $45.00 per angler. *This event has been edited due to an entry fee and location error.

The Big Dawg Baits Team Tournament Trail will also launch from the Lake Astor boat ramp. Entry fee is $75.00 per boat. If you are new to the trail, there is a $30.00 membership fee.

The Xtreme Bass Series: Rodman Division will hold it’s first event of the season. Anglers will be launching from the Kenwood Boat Ramp. Membership fee is $35.00 per angler, with entry fee at $120.00 per team. Anglers who qualify for the Xtreme Bass Series Classic will have the opportunity to compete for a Blazer 595 Pro Elite powered by a 200 HP outboard. The Top 4 teams from each division will also qualify for the 2016 Florida State Team Championship and compete for an identical prize.

The Lakeland Junior Bassmasters Klash on Kissimmee will take place at Camp Mack. The young anglers will compete until the 2:00 weigh-in time. Entry is $40.00.

The Slow-N-Steady Bass Trail will launch from Buzzard Beach on the Harris Chain of Lakes. Entry fee is $60.00 per boat.

The U.S.A. Bassin’ North Florida Fall/Winter division will launch form the Welaka boat ramp on the St. Johns River. Entry fee is $50.00 per team, with Big Bass pot an optional $10.00. Membership fee is $30.00 per angler.

The 4 Corners Bass Club will compete Saturday and Sunday on Lake Okeechobee. Entry fee is $100.00. The club will launch from the Harney Pond boat ramp.

The Lakeland Bassmasters will also compete Saturday and Sunday on Lake Okeechobee. They will launch from Roland and Mary Ann Martin’s Marina. Membership fee is $20.00 per angler for the year. Entry fee is $45.00, with Big Bass being an optional $5.00 per angler.
