Yohn, Watkins Win Kissimmee Bass Series with Giant Bass

The Kissimmee Bass Series is gaining momentum as the season progresses. The most recent event had 69 teams arrive for the 2nd event of the season at Camp Mack.

Wayne Yohn and James “JW” Watkins stole the show with a 22.15 pound limit. It wasn’t necessarily their overall bag that had everyone excited, but rather the 12.15-pound Kissimmee monster that Watkins caught to anchor their bag.

“I flipped into some pads, and barely felt the bite,” Watkins recalled on catching the giant bass.

Larry and Lance Meredith finished in second place, weighing an 18.80-pound limit.

Billy and Mike Bechard brought a 17.90-pound limit to the scales to secure a third place finish.

Rounding out the Top 5:

4th: Rich Anthony and Tim Stacy- 16.95 pounds

5th: Chad Steward and Danney Hulett-14.75 pounds

Bryan and Cody Malys won the 2nd Big Bass award with their 9.81-pound lunker.

The Kissimmee Bass Series tournaments are held on the 4th Sunday of every month. The next scheduled event is set for March 22nd. More information can be found on the Event Calendar.
